Cultural and Linguistic Services
The Alameda Alliance for Health is committed to serving you in a way that is comfortable to you, in your culture, and in your own language.

bullet Courteous and Respectful Treatment
It is very important to us that you receive courteous and respectful treatment at all times by staff at the Alliance, the doctors, the doctors' office staff, or any other time. Please let us know how we are doing: Call Member Services at (510) 747-4567, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

bullet Language of Materials
We would like you to receive important written materials in a language you can read. We currently provide most of our written materials in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Vietnamese. If you are unable to read any of these languages, or are not receiving materials in your preferred language, please let us know. Call Member Services at (510) 747-4567, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

bullet Interpreter Services
The Alliance would like you to be able to talk to us and your doctors in your own language, at no cost to you.

Request for Interpreter Services
When you have a doctor's appointment, it is very important to us that you have a Qualified Health Interpreter if you need one, at no cost to you. We prefer that you do not use family or friends to interpret for you, as their most important job to you is to be a family member or friend, not an interpreter. We can accommodate face-to-face and telephone interpreter services at no cost to you or your doctor. We prefer a three (3) day notice to schedule face-to-face appointments. Your provider can use telephone interpreter services at any time. Call Member Services at (510) 747-4567 to schedule an appointment for qualified health interpreter services.

Note: Members, as well as providers, can request interpreter services.

Personal Information
In order to better serve you, and to know more about our membership, it helps us to have correct information about your race/ethnicity, and preferred language to speak and read. You are not required to provide this information, but it would help to plan for appropriate services for our membership. To check if we have your correct information, call Member Services at (510) 747-4567, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
