Eligibility Criteria

Medi-Cal

Contact Alameda County Social Services to find out if you or your family members are eligible for Medi-Cal.

Healthy Families Program

Children from birth to 19 years, who are U.S. Citizens or legal residents, and have family income below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level Guidelines may be eligible for the Healthy Families Program.

Alliance Group Care : Designed for In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) home care workers in Alameda County only.

bullet You may qualify for Alliance Group Care through the Public Authority for IHSS if you have been: (a) working in Alameda County as an IHSS home care worker for the last two months, (b) authorized to work a total of at least 70 hours during those two months, and (c) continue to be authorized to work at least 35 hours per month thereafter.

bullet To find out if you are deemed eligible, call the Public Authority for IHSS between the hours of 8:30 am- 4:00 pm at (510) 577-3551.

bullet Your application must be received by the 10th of the month. If you are found to be eligible, your benefits will be effective the 1st of the following month. Alameda Alliance for Health will send you a new member packet and Alliance Identification Card before your effective date.

Eligibility for Alliance Group Care may affect your Medi-Cal or Medicare benefits.  For more information about Alliance Group Care, contact the Alameda Alliance for Health at

Healthy Kids
Healthy Kids provides comprehensive medical, vision, and dental care to uninsured children in Alameda County at the very low cost of $10 per child per month. Visit our Healthy Kids section to learn more about eligibility for this program and other important details.

Alliance CompleteCare
You can join Alliance CompleteCare if you are eligible to receive Medi-Cal and you are entitled to Medicare Part A (hospital insurance) and enrolled in Part B (medical insurance). You must also live in the plan’s service area, which is Alameda County.
