Our Board of Governors
Our Board of Governors (Board) decides on major policies and oversees the administration of Alameda Alliance for Health (Alliance). The Board is intended to reflect the diversity of both the provider and health care consumer communities. It is made up of major stakeholders in the health care network, including our members, local physicians, hospital and clinic representatives, and labor representatives. Members are appointed by the Alameda County Board of Supervisors for terms of four years. Reappointments may be made.
Alameda Alliance Joint Powers Authority
Alameda County and the Alliance have entered into a Joint Powers of Authority Agreement to establish a new Knox-Keene licensed health care service plan, "Alameda Alliance Joint Powers Authority" ("JPA"). The Alliance and the JPA have entered into a Management and Administrative Services Agreement which assigns the administration and operation of non-Medi-Cal programs to the JPA. Each member of the Alliance Board serves ex officio as a voting member of the JPA Board. The JPA Board convenes at least one a year, following a regular meeting of the Alliance Board.
