Our Health Plans - Alliance Group Care Program
You qualify for Group Care through the Public Authority for IHSS if you have been working in Alameda County as an IHSS home care worker for the last two months, been authorized to work a total of at least 70 hours during those two months, and continue to be authorized to work at least 35 hours per month thereafter.

bullet To find out if you are eligible, call the Public Authority for IHSS between the hours of 8:30 am- 4:00 pm at (510) 577-3551.

bullet Your application must be received by the 10th of the month. If you are found to be eligible, your benefits will be effective the 1st of the following month. Alameda Alliance for Health will send you a health plan card before your effective date.
