At the Alliance we want to help you receive your health care services in your preferred language and format. You do not have to use a family member or friend to meet your communication needs. These services are available to members at no cost.
Interpreter Services
When you call the Alliance, please let us know the language that you prefer to speak. Our staff speaks many languages, including Spanish, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and Tagalog. If we cannot speak your language, we will use a phone interpreter at no cost to you. We can communicate with members with speaking or hearing impairments through the California Relay Service (CRS).
We can also help you speak with your Alliance health care providers in your preferred language. You have access to language support for your health care visits 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can choose a doctor or clinic that speaks your preferred language. Or, we can provide a trained health care interpreter over the phone.
For American Sign Language (ASL), highly sensitive or complex health care visits, your provider can request an in-person interpreter. Your provider must send the interpreter request form for in-person interpreters by fax to the Alliance at least five (5) business days in advance of the visit (except for American Sign Language).

Member Materials
You may receive written plan letters and materials in a language that you can read. If you are not getting materials in your preferred language, please let us know. You may also receive member materials in other formats such as large print, audio, and accessible electronic formats at your request. Your representative may also request member materials in other formats, so they can assist you with your health care.
