Alliance Joint Powers Authority (JPA) Notice

Thank you for choosing and partnering with Alameda Alliance for Health (Alliance). We are committed to improving health in our community and providing the highest levels of member and provider customer satisfaction. We have an important update that we would like to share with you.

We are sharing this notice to let you know that the Alliance will be making an administrative change. On Wednesday, September 1, 2021, we will be ending our Joint Powers Authority (JPA). The Alliance and Alameda County created a JPA in 2005 to streamline the delivery of health care across multiple public agencies. The California law has changed and a JPA is no longer needed for the Alliance to provide access to high-quality care and services.

This administrative change does not affect any health care benefit coverage, provider contracts, payments, or any operational activities. These administrative services will continue to be provided by the Alliance. Alliance members and providers do not need to take any action.

If you have any questions, please contact us.

Together, we are creating a healthier community for all.
