Community Supports

Starting on Saturday, January 1, 2022, Medi-Cal launched a new program called California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal, or CalAIM, Community Supports (CS) will be a part of this new program.

Community Supports may be available to eligible Alliance members under your Individualized Care Plan. Community Supports are medically appropriate and cost-effective alternative services or settings to those covered under the Medi-Cal State Plan. These services are optional for members to receive. If you qualify, these services may help you live more independently. They do not replace benefits that you already get under Medi-Cal. The Alliance will offer several homeless-related Community Supports, Medically Tailored/Supportive Meals and Asthma Remediation.
